Since 2005, Winchester residents have turned to Sustainable Winchester to connect with the residents, community groups, town employees and town officials working to build a more sustainable town. If you are new to Winchester, or have been here for decades, connect with us. Sustainable Winchester is a resource for people of all political affiliations who are dedicated to addressing sustainability and general environmental concerns in Winchester. We welcome any town resident interested in collaborating toward the shared goal of a more sustainable community.
What We Do
Educate
Education is at the core of our mission. We strive to introduce sustainable practices at the individual and community levels, urging Winchester residents and officials to adopt these practices whenever feasible. As an educational resource, we develop projects and campaigns to deepen understanding.
Engage
We believe in initiating conversations about sustainability that span the entire community. Our platform serves as a forum for community involvement, fostering participation in educational and cooperative projects.
Empower
We collaborate with residents, community organizations, and town officials to analyze the sustainability impacts of current practices, and strategize to reduce future impacts. We actively participate in sustainability campaigns at local, regional, and statewide levels.
